Montreal, Canada Knitting and Food Tour

We will explore old Montreal, with sightseeing, shopping, knitting, and more. Montreal is the largest city in the Quebec province, with its cobblestone streets in Old Montreal and historic architecture. Known for amazing food and culture, Montreal is like stepping into France without crossing the Atlantic. We will visit the iconic Notre Dame Basilica, take in some art at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, explore a culinary adventure taking a Montreal food walking tour, and visit a farmers market for a French shopping experience. Montreal has incredible yarn stores that we will visit including La Maison Tricotee and Les Garçons. Knitting classes will consist of creating knitwear inspired by our travels, all levels of knitting can be accommodated. Hotel (4 nights), admissions, knitting classes, 7 meals included.

Terrain
There is a lot of walking on this tour. Montreal is a large city, and we will be taking the metro to locations not walkable. Cobblestone streets in parts. Stairs and standing.
Tour Guides
Your host:
Lynn Ruggieri is a dual citizen of Italy and the U.S. and splits her time between the two countries, residing in Perugia for the last 10 years. Lynn is a knitter, instructor and knitwear designer, passionate about lace knitting.
Knitting classes
We will attend a private knitting class at Les Garcons along with a private shopping experience. Explore the shop and learn from Vincent and Max. We will also have a private class at La Maison where Celine will show us embroidery on knitwear.

Private knitting workshop (embroidery on knitwear) at La Maison Tricotee, with brunch and private shopping.
Explore Old Montreal, a section of Montreal near where we are staying, for sightseeing and shopping.
Notre Dame Basilica, a Catholic Church known for its Gothic Revival style architecture and beautiful stained glass windows.
Montreal Museum of Fine Arts has the largest gallery spaces in Canada. Showcasing Quebec and Canadian artists, MMFA also has Indigenous art, paintings, sculptures, graphics, photography, multimedia, and decorative arts from ancient times to today.
Knitting class at Les Garçons boutique, a gorgeous yarn shop with Les Garçons yarn brand (brioche knitting) with private shopping.
Local Montreal walking food tour to experience local and European-inspired foods, including meats, cheeses, sweets and poutine.
We will visit Sonder Yarn Co to visit the studio and shop the luxurious yarns.
French farmers market, featuring flowers, cheeses, French cuisine, baked goods, and local artisan products. We will picnic and knit in a local park with a photography workshop.
