Lynn Ruggieri
Lynn Ruggieri is a dual citizen of Italy and the U.S. and splits her time between the two countries, residing in Perugia for the last 10 years. Lynn has been leading trips to the UK for the last 20 years. Her passion and enthusiasm will make for an unforgettable experience.

Private class in the picturesque country side at Di Gilpin Luxury Wool, Handknitting, and Couture Design in Scotland where we will learn the history of Gansey knitting before creating a design of our own
Private class at Radical Weavers Stirling Scotland where we will learn the history of tartan weaving and the Scottish Kilt. We will spend some time creating our own tartan design.

Welcome to England! Bus from airport for the group to hotel. Visit Beautiful Knitters yarn shop, Liberty London, Free time exploring London. Dinner on own.
Thursday April 22, 2027 – London 4 nights
Bus trip to Windsor Castle, a royal residence located outside of London, oldest and largest occupied castle built in the 11th century. It’s been home to over 40 monarchs and has been a royal residence for over 1000 years. Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret were raised here. Enjoy the shopping of the town of Windsor. Visit Loop London yarn store, while exploring Camden passage neighborhood. Dinner at hotel and knitting cast on party! Meals - B, D.
Friday April 23, 2027 - London
Visit Westminster Abbey -A place for worship, celebration and ceremony, many of Britain’s most significant historic moments of the past one thousand years have happened here. Since 1066, the Abbey has hosted every coronation, and is the final resting place for the great kings, queens, poets, musicians, scientists and politicians of our past. In the afternoon we will board a private English Tea Bus for high tea on a double decker bus touring around the city while knitting. Meals included - B, Lunch on Tea Bus
Saturday April 24, 2027 - Stonehenge and Bath
Day trip filled with history. Enjoy spectacular views of rolling hills and sheep as we travel to Stonehenge and the English countryside. See the ancient mystery of Stonehenge before we travel the scenic landscape to picturesque Bath. Bath is known for its Roman Baths with rich history, the Jane Austen Center, as well as many shops, restaurants and cultural events. The Netflix tv show, Bridgerton’s modiste was filmed in Bath. Lunch and knitting in a British pub. Visit A Yarn Story, yarn store, shopping, sights. Meals included – B, D
Sunday April 25, 2027 – Travel to Edinburgh 4 nights
In the morning there is time for the fabulous museums of London - Victoria & Albert, Natural History or the Museum of Science before enjoying breathtaking scenery on a train ride to Edinburgh Scotland. Meals - B, D
Monday April 26, 2027 - Edinburgh
Visit Di Gilpin, knitwear designer, located on a quaint farm, for a workshop on Gansey knitting. We will also visit Ginger Twist, a papular yarn shop known for its wide selection of yarns including its own hand-dyed ‘Ginger’s Hand Dyed’ and its vibrant rainbow wall of yarn. Meals - B, D
Tuesday April 27, 2027 – Stirling
Visit Stirling Castle, one of the most historically and architecturally important castles in Scotland before Radical Weavers, Stirling. Participants have the chance to connect with local traditions, witnessing the art of weaving in action and gaining insight into its historical and cultural importance. Guided by skilled artisans, visitors can actively participate, weaving their own creations and gaining a deeper appreciation for the craft's intricacies. At the studio, we will take a weaving workshop and have individual mini looms to design and create our own Scottish tartans to take home. Dinner and knitting. Meals - B, D
Wednesday April 28, 2027 - Edinburgh
Explore Edinburgh. Some of the earliest mills were in Scotland, and this area became a center for production of high quality woolen cloth. At the Scottish Textile Showcase, you will hear about the makers, the craft, how wool gets made, what inspires designs, and a tour of the showroom. Visit Tron Kirk Market, a 17th century church in the Royal Miles, with artists and designers selling goods. Shopping in the neighborhood. All are walkable. Meals included - B,
